Dido on that one.... I wouldn't recommend that you get a weapon until you are comfortable with carrying one and learn your rights first. Guns don't kill people, people with little knowledge and respect for guns kill people. I would also refer you to the following site there are a lot of reasonably priced firearms on there as well as a decent community that could give you some insight on what would be the best weapon for your needs.

i dont know what yall are so worried about ive been raised around guns all my life had plenty of long rifles and im a avid shooter at C2 gun range in pungo.Im well able to take care of myself thank you

if your holding out for some super deal like a kimber, 1911 or a glock you might as well give up. the millenium 9mm was a good deal or just got to the gun store or gun show, you'll pay a little more but get something better than a hi point. Guns are fairly cheaper than 4 years ago.
