Well, it was a sad day today.... the GN is down for the winter.. The good news is, I'll be shipping the turbo off to Precision on Tuesday for a rebuild and maybe an upgrade or two.... Hopefully it doesn't take months to get this thing back!

Any particular reason for that though? I've never dealt with them outside of their Buick turbos....

In turn, more shit talk came about, cause the manner in which it was pointed out to me was pretty shitty.

Shit like this is why domestic owners, mustang owners, etc all make me laugh. Don't worry i'm sure you'll have the same thing to say about me/honda owners. I'm tight with a few domestic guys who don't think they're cars are gods gift to earth. congrats your 20K car is faster than a 4k one.

I don't doubt that Ive had my shit together better than you did at my age. but the free wash still stands

Warmest regards..
I swear half the guys on here think they are talking to people in their 30's or better and act like they are 15. I was saying that because you were being a douche about the free dyno time that MAP offered up for grabs. its better than nothing isn't it?

Personal experiences of me and a couple people i know, Failed turbo's that were rebuilt by precision and only lasted another few thousand miles before blowing again, brand new out of the box turbos failing.

The fact that they dont really do a lot of real engineering and R&D with them, the fact that that some of their turbos are left to "fuzzy" science, even their billet line i have yet to find a compressor map or even any details on their website about specs...

I was actually pretty close to ordering their billet 6765, since it seems like the "Magic" turbo that everyone is ranting and raving about and i cant seem to figure out how you can make close to 1000whp on a 67mm on a 4cyl things just dont add up to me

either way this is all speculation and dont mind me, for every failure theres 100's of success's, and they seem to be doing great with buicks, i just personally wont ever buy one again tho

I've had extremely good success with them, unit wise. The one I got on the car now has been going for almost 2 years, and Im about to try one of their billet 67mm units (6765 .82 a/r.), as the car will be built around IMSTAR & NSCRA Turbo Street rules.

The thing I keep hearing about Precision Turbo thats bad is their customer service. Never had to deal with them on that standpoint just yet, but if I do, I hope I dont catch a bad experience with them.

For some reason, the site is not letting me edit my post, but just read the above post, it seems like its mostly the DSM/EVO 4 cyl. guys that are having the real big success with that turbo making huge power. But it IS a very successful unit to be a 67mm, but the Honda engine is just so efficient, that I dont think the B series guys will see those kind of numbers outta that turbo.

Yeah the 6765 is the one i was looking into a while back also, seems like its doing well its also the turbo i was talking about where they made over 900whp on an evo crazy, i just like to have more specific information for my own research purposes.
