(local) Import vs Domestic race
I know pump gas and Street tires hurts the FWD imports, but we want this to be a race that would be just like if you met someone at a stop light on your way to work. The tires and gas may hurt the FWD cars, but our weight hurts the domestics, you don't see any of us crying about 1500# weight differences.
Ramey, if your car is a turd on street tires and pump gas, so be it, don't run our race. but don't try to call your car a street car because the class you race in has street in the title. Look at all the classes in NMRA that have street in the title, they damn sure aren't street car, except True street.

i will be busy april 16 weekend.
outside of that i'm game.
ill be on a 295/17" rim.
i'm terrible on a pro tree, so it will be like i will spot everyone time right out of the gate.. that should make it fair.
shit could happen of course.. engine/trans are out and im not sure the new turbo will fit yet but this is a ways off.

With the srt?
I'm pretty bummed by the pump gas thing too, but I can adapt and overcome!
3500 lbs here, without my fat ass in the driver's seat....
troof.....

troof.....
im not sure if i can come yet gotta check the work but idk if my all motor setup can compete if i dont have mt semi-slicks for the wholeshot oh and i drive around with no backseats is that cool ?
I think if it is driven to the track, has legal plates, and an inspection it shouldnt matter if it has slicks on it. You're racing street cars on the track intended for a race car, so why does it matter if a car with full interior, glass, and working lights to run slicks. I vote for if its driven to the track it can run slicks.

How much weight does that actually save you? Can't be much more than 30 or so lbs.....
Import vs Domestics: Fast in a straight line~Domestics win, good job. Fast in ALL directions? Domestics, well...it's funny how a 'Stang/'Maro driver changes the subject real quick! LOL!
Next snide comment? And I guarantee you, if you get me on a road course, I'll be going hella fast in all directions... just not the intended directions....
Handles like a Buick!

I could understand were you are coming from if the domestics auto's were allowed at least a 15inch wheel, But the auto's have to be on 17s. i would put money down that our (me and you) 60ft numbers will be the same thing with you on radials.
This should not be that hard to come up with a set of tire rules for this, i think we are pretty much on par with the 17inch tire deal. Everyone pics there poison when we build these cars, some have there disadvantages, some with advantages.
