I just changed the clutch and flywheel in my DC Integra. Its a Clutchmasters stage 2 and i have an oem flywheel. When i've been driving around town for awhile, the clutch/engine starts to shake when im engaging in first gear. It doesnt do it when its cold. I'm not quite sure what the problem could be. Any help is appreciated.

 

was the flywheel resurfaced?

 

i got a brand new one.

 

pressure plate probably not tightened down im assumin

 

but why only when the car is hot and has been running for awhile? I torqued everything to specs and rechecked everything 2-3 times.

 

I suspect its normal. Every CM kit I've had, has had chatter.

 

ive thought that too as i cant imagine what else it could be. anyway to lessen it? launch at higher or lower rpms?

 

A friend of mine got a stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel (not sure of the brands, but its good stuff) and anytime he puts it in neutral and lets go of the clutch it chatters. Normal.

im assuming it's not broken in yet? maybe wait for it to break in, it will prolly get better.

or since the clutch is grabier, it chatters.

 

ps i run FX500 on the mr2 and it chatters sometimes
