Toyota - LOL
But what your not seeing about that is companys like gm,ford, dodge offer a 6 or 5 year anti corrosion warrenty. Now I may be wrong and maybe you could sue if in fact your frame were to break, but they brought this undercoating recall out regardless of your mileage. Again im not sure if they did that in fear of being sued if possiable or if it was due to customer satisfaction, Now I do know that 96-00 tacomas were being bought back due to rust holes in the frames. That may be another reason they did this undercoating thing. Im sure its alot cheaper to spray a frame then buy a truck lol.
I'm up to date on all that stuff... My Dad won't own anything but a Yota truck... He had an 86ish that the frame rusted in half on, welded it back together and it was still on the road years after he sold it... But if I remember correctly Toyota warranties; if not just the fenders, quarters but the entire body and the frame now, yes? And its for the life of the vehicle, right?
But hell nothing can beat the temporary fix for the floormat. Nothing like telling a customer his new tacoma, tundra, camry, prius, and I belive avalon that we have to punch three hole's in their floormat and "zip tie" them to the seat bracket. The look on their face was just undescribable
Now I cant say its for the life of they vehical. I didnt know they had frame problems that far back lol. I just saw that most companies offer a limited rust coverage and toyota is one of them but they brought this recall out to fix what I guess could become a hugh problem. I kinda figured that once your coverage is up that its no longer the manufactures problem but I could be very wrong. I just hope that I never have to be the one to replace a frame on the 01-04 tacoma since they from my understanding no longer buy them back.

Oh yea, Toyotas are notorious for frames rusting in half way back when... Lets not get into quarters and fenders rotting out from the inside... Its the cheap ass undercoat I'm tellin ya... Or lack thereof... I don't know bout the new ones but on the older trucks they just sprayed what you could see... Sooooo wherever the body panels were pieced together, anything unseen was still in kind of a "shipping primer" which as most people know, goes away pretty quick... And the undercoat doesn't seal the cracks between panels...
I guess those only work in vehicals not made by toyota lol. There still there but for some reason toyota feels there not enough
