Hm, thats news to me. I was always under the impression that J-Line was a Japanese based company and I-Forged was an American based company. While I do agree that they are overpriced, one good thing about both brands is the sheer customization range. They both seem to be companies similar to the likes of HRE and DPE, in the sense that you can customize face color/finish, the rivets, the diamater/width, offsets, etc etc.
My roomate is actually going to get some 18"x9.5" J-lines in anodized purple/polished lip this spring for his STI, and I think its gonna look great (I actually gave him the idea).....but me personally.....i'm cheap/poor......so i'll be putting the poor mans "JDM tyte" wheel on my next project..........aka 5-zigens.
And whatever the case, I love me some J-Lines.....

5Zigens are far better quality than JLines.
They LOOK like HRE's. That was his plan. To dupe people into thinking the quality is the same just because the look and the marketing is similar. I wouldn't put DPE in the same category as HRE either. And HRE doesn't make spectacular wheels anyway.
Generally, if it looks like a knockoff of an HRE or if it has "forged" in the name, it's overhped garbage.
They LOOK like HRE's. That was his plan. To dupe people into thinking the quality is the same just because the look and the marketing is similar. I wouldn't put DPE in the same category as HRE either. And HRE doesn't make spectacular wheels anyway.

And my original plan years ago was to put some FN01R-C's on my FC when I had it.......never happened, and I ended up selling the car.....
......so here it is years and years later, and i'm planning on getting my RX-8 by the end of winter/begining of the spring (hate away), and I plan on doing some matte black FN01R-C hot versions.
