Default Muncher's WRX build a.k.a Go-fast Goodies 2

****Update on pages 3, 5, 6, 9, and 12****

Welp...as a lot of you know...my motor went about 3 months ago...dead cylinder. It was still drivable for a bit but became worse and worse so I parked it. Got my finances together and started tearin the car apart.

Ill be doing what I can in my driveway, but im sure as most are familiar with, time can be something thats hard to come by, especially since the days are getting shorter so the car will also see All Aspects for much (although not all) of this build.

Started the other day, removed pretty much the whole front of the car, including the front mount which will be replaced with a slightly better flowing unit that has the differant upper intercooler pipes to fit the new turbo

Removed the exhaust, turbo, and intake manifold yesterday. Its a bit of a cluster fuck without the manifold covering a lot of the lines, and will be cleaned up a bit.

Started ordering parts last week...some came in Sat.

TXS uppipe with 44mm external wastegate flange, rotated 30r/35r extension, and dump tube

Tial 44mm Wastegate

TXS rotated downpipe and RFL BOV

This came in yesterday, TXS FMIC with rotated upper intercooler pipes

Picked this up from a fellow drag member

Thats all for now. Ill update as stuff comes in and progress is made, ect.

So out of curiousity, is it fairly common for these motors to go south, once they hit around the 300whp mark?

No. Although the 2.0l are much weaker than the 2.5l out of the sti....300 is seen commonly for 10s of thousands of miles. Mine had 120,000 miles and I beat the shit out of it. It was my fault the motor went.

Oh its just seems like alot of 300whp wrx's are either blowing motors or breaking tranny's. Maybe everyone just beats the living shit out of them, lol.
