Says that the 2007 independent dynos makes more horsepower and torque than the 2009. The 09 does make 5 more horsepower under 4700 rpms. But at 5500 rpms the 07 makes 9 more horsepower than the 09.

its not a thread. It is a short write up on a comparison between the new 09 R1 and the 07 R1. Some of it might be that they were not put on the same dyno... and you can't compare numbers from different dynos. But they shouldn't be that far off though.
I still think all in all.. I will come down to who is on the back of the bike as to who is the winner of the race. Of coarse the 09 does have the mode selector and it does help for the ridability of the bike.
