125 mile ride from the Willoughby Boat Ramp (near the Hampton Bridge/Tunnel), heading west by the Naval Base, south down the Elizabeth River to Downtown Norfolk, southeast to the Great Bridge Lock, east through the intracoastal waterway (ICW), then south again to the VA/NC stateline. From there another 20 miles south via Currituck Sound to the Coinjock Marina & Restaurant (http://www.coinjockmarina.com/restaurant.php) for gas and lunch, then return. There's plenty of pier parking for the skis just feet from the restaurant.
0630 Start of ride (needs to be early to secure first come/first serve weekend parking at Willoughby Boat Ramp and make a timely Great Bridge Lock opening)
0830 Arrive Great Bridge Lock (GBL) for bottom-of-the-hour opening
0900 Depart GBL 1100 Arrive Coinjock NC (lunch & fuel at Coinjock Marina & Restaurant)
1230 Depart Coinjock NC
1500 Arrive GBL for top-of-the-hour opening
1530 Depart GBL
1700 End of Ride

i could bring out the mini...just wish the bike was ready to be seen by the public eye. got an address i can meet you at?? not too familiar with all the streets yet.
there are no streets involved. PWC = Personal WatercraftWe will be riding the rivers. Unless of course your mini floats.
Its really gonna depend on the weather. I've never done that long of a ride before either so it will be my first if I go. I wouldnt imagine it being too chilly on the ride that day, but if the temps stay this low, it may be.
I am located in the middle of this trip, and i would be willing to meet up with you all on the intercoastal, just after the jordan bridge and continue the trip. I have done the pungo to crabbys (restaurant at coinjock) trip before and BTW, good choice on crabbys, food is amazing!!
Depending on weather for you wet suit riders, i wouldnt full wet suit it, maybe springsuit, but once again depends on the weather that day.
You may want to figure out a gas situation though, that is quite a long ride with not many marinas with fuel on the way. I will tell you that the new marina before the dominion bridge has fuel. But can everyone make it that far?

I would love to do this if I had a PWC..but once we got to the Coinjock Marina..I'd probably split and ride the rest of the way down the Currituck Sound to my house..lol.
Haha, I love the fact that the two restaurants are right across the Waterway from each other..lol. Both a really good though..I'd recommend either for the day.
