Who to polish exhaust head shields?
no ...there is nothing that compares to real chrome...
you could have it spray chromed...which is close...

the ceramic coating at precision is going to be your best bet and it is actually functional at reducing temps
my block and exhaust as well as manifold will be coated if not more (depends how crazy i get) my calipers go in thursdayish for the treatment as well.

i might stop by.... well my day is mad packed but i gotta get some price quotes from sir lou
The place here in Williamsburg does ceramic coating too - I might as well give them a try since they're local and if they botch it they're cheap parts that take all of 1 minute to replace.

stright junk
He said it's a $60 minimum, but if I do it when someone else is having stuff done it'll be like $50.
But, he only has thermal barrier in black...
I called the place in Hopewell too. He obviously couldn't give concrete prices without seeing the parts, but he was thinking $70-80 to put a polished-aluminum-like thermal barrier on the heat shields, $70 to put the black thermal dispersant on my valve covers and $60 to do my air filter housing lid in thermal barrier.
Nftuatan (damn, forgot your name too...was it Brandon?) - if you see this before you go see your boy in the Beach, ask him what his prices to do these things would be.
My other thought is send them to http://www.performance-design.net/pe...n_coatings.htm and have them do my air cleaner lid and heat shields in gold thermal barrier (can't do the bottom because the bottom has plastic riveted onto it). Then wrap the air cleaner ducting in gold foil. What do you guys think? Too gaudy?
Here's a look at the plumber's nightmare of an engine bay (looks cleaner in person, I swear). It's hard to see in the pictures but the headers are blue. I've put the heat shields on them so you can see how it looks.

Ugh, I gotta clean that thing.
