C6Z06 w/ EMCO sequential gearbox at the drags...
In a M3 smg lauch it dumps the clutch at 1800 RPMs. The europeon version dumps the clutch at 3500 RPMs. The europeon M3 computer records how many times you have launched and if its over 10 times the SMG gear light stays on and the dealer is the only one who can turn it off. This also voids your warrenty. The US version lauches at 1800 RPMs so it isent as hard on the clutch and you can use the SMG launch as much as you want without voiding the warrenty. I have feathered to 2400 RPMs. There isent a way of launching without dumping the clutch. Even when my car is sitting flat in first gear it is really in neutral until I press the gas. Then it switches to first. Im sure this Z06 is similar to this.

pretty much. Advantages of smg is shift speed and ability to go into full automatic mode. SMG shifting is faster then any manual shifting. The transmission enguages into the next gear at 0.08 seconds.
But that's quite fast!

And LOL at the pussy who neg repped me and left no name. I love me some mad anonymous pussies.
