I need of a job
wait heres the catch, both are white guys from Military families. Both going for degrees that prolly would pay less than what they make now.
are you really THAT close minded? that the only way to have a good career is to go to school and work in an office somewhere? i know people that started out working in lawn care and went on to start their own lawn care companies and now do very very well for themselves. stop being ignorant.
the way the economy is right now you have people with degrees working at mcdonalds and burger king. so it really doesnt matter what you have anymore like it was stated above unless ur an engineer or or work in a hospital it is very hard cuz for the first time in a long time fast food places have there choice of who to hire

So right now I'm just working some shit job in Nags Head until I can find something in my career path..or even just something else I'd really enjoy doing.

I was a foreman doing landscaping for 3 years when I was younger. It's back breaking hard work. And I agree with you that there are people who can make it into a business..
But, those people don't normally come on dragva asking for a job. I was hoping to steer the OP in a better more productive direction.
How am I a moron? Do you do landscaping?
Who disagrees with me that it is smarter to go to school and get a career then to work with your hands?
Your body wears out much faster than your mind does.
restaurants are always hiring dishwashers
and green is green. It doesn't matter how you make it, as long as it is honest work. There are some white collar bitches on this site

Dunno if i would disagree. But its not a fixed variable like i think your saying it is.
It really all depends on the person and degree.
I know a guy who graduated from JMU a few years ago with a degree in psychology, and now builds kitchens.
I think society puts way too much emphasis on getting a degree, and completely ignore the part where you actually have to find the career. Its normally not a package deal.
Just my thoughts...
