well, basic things:

- you're probably going to commute, right? yeah. sign up as early as possible for the orientation program, get your vcu accounts set up, and buy a parking pass for one of the decks.
- on the topic of signing up for things, do it early. everything. figure out what you need way ahead of time so you can sign up for shit while it's available and able to fit your schedule.
- to get into the engineering school, i assume you just need to take some general ed, calculus, and physics. i know only a few kids in that department. i'll ask around.
- ratemyprofessor.com seriously helps.
- and on the social front: if you can't find something to do on campus or a school club/organization to join, you're doing it wrong.

But on the real real...I went to VCU for 4 years and never got a parking pass, not one ticket, always found a spot. I'm just that good.

 

parking pass: i don't like walking. clearly, given my girth. plus, i used to drive an SUV to class and i would sleep in the back bed with the shade of the deck between classes.

and i miss college. more than high school, i don't know. but i do.

 

Well given my genetic make up, I chose walking over paying ridiculous amounts of money to park in a deck where people will ding up my doors. The sleeping part does sound good though. I used to do that in my integra lol

I miss college too. I feel nostalgic everytime I drive through there.
