Default Help finding jdm integra hood

quik to the point of it.

v6 j32 swap in a 2000 gsr with jdm front conversion.........hood doesnt clear the intake manifold and forward facing valve cover. so you gotta have a huge ass hole in the hood..

have searched for about 6 hours now and cannot find any hoods that feature a bump in it, like a 350z or lexus IS-F hood.

Do any of you know where, or who might manufacture a hood like such. you cant exactly drive a car without a hood on.....or the motor poking through due to rain and such.

thank you ahead of time.

and yes, there is a reason for this swap, if you have to ask, youtube v6 eg

No one makes a hood for a J32 swap. You're on your own to make something work.

Get different mounts to lower the engine in the car if you can. You should have done your homework first; it's well known that J32 swaps won't easily clear the hood..

You could always do the really ghetto hood spacer mod to raise the hood off of the hinges in the back, all the cool kids are doing that these days I hear.

and we have done our homework, if you can find mounts that put the j32 lower in the car than the hasport ones let me have them.....and if they do, how does the oil pan clear, cuz right now the j32 has a total of what 3 inches clearance on stock ride height.

thank you all for input.

You swapped in an engine that won't clear any known hoods and barely clears the ground at stock ride height?

Wow.

make it a dry sump oil pan?

come on man, you can't do this half-assed. you were pretty creative with the v6 swap, now continue with that creativity and make it work!

Just cut a hole. If the rain is just hitting the valve cover no problem >_>

hey man contact wil at exospeed there making a batch of hoods rite now for cars with all the swaps with hood clearance issues . H2b's with skunk 2 mani for example . hes also looking for ideas for other hoods to make so let him know you need a hood for a J in a Dc and I'm sure he can figure something out for you . does your oil pan sit flush with the bottom of the core support like it does in a eg or does the pan hang lower in the teg ? if you have a membership on Honda-tech check the drag racing forum and you will find the thread about the hoods . good luck

EDIT : heres the thread its labeled for eg hoods . but it wont hurt to see if they will do a jdm front hood , heres a post from that thread from wil "We have several applications we're making/considering. H2B, K-series, etc. Just keep putting out suggestions and we'll be listening"
