Default HKS ssq BOV keeps blowing off flange. HELP!

I recently had a HKS super ssq blow off valve installed, and it has blown off of the flange twice. The first time I thought it was due to the snap ring not being locked in place. After making sure it was under the groove in the flange i thought i'd be okay. Driving to work this morning it blew off of the piping again. Anyone know whats going on? Any way to keep it secured? I am positive the snap ring was all the way in, and the o-ring was properly positioned. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is the snap ring seat damaged, worn, etc., so that the snap ring isn't getting properly retained?

how is it secured? (vband? flanged?)

The ssqv sucks IMO, its kind of a universal piece of crap. but some people get it to work.

Had the same problem, used a smaller o-ring that still allowed a seal. Works great, BOA and Recirc wise.

was the flange welded onto a pipe or was it a premade pipe and flange ? if welded, MAKE SURE there is no weld beads or debris around the flange. Also are you 100% positive it is the right flange? (ex. an ebay POS flange?) I would imagine those could be the issue, that or the snap ring is damaged. I have the HKS SSQV and the ring was a PITA to put on, but i have never had it come off....

Ill look for weld debris. Its all legit parts. Flange came from mrd. Actually called there today, said to hit it in w a hammer and flat head to make sure its properly seated
