Whenever I dont know something I either google it or wiki it first lol Wikipedia has a pretty good listing of ALL honda motors.

hey shawn fuck off im trying to learn. and im gonna do a ls/v swap pretty soon. as soon as a get another 1k. um and the exrta kick i was talkin bout the hotsause. um ok well it doesnt say on the valve cover.yes its stock. im about to replace the fuel rail plugs and wires. and a intake. thats as much as ima do on this. im gettin a ls block from my boy and ima build that up.

Dont waste money on a sohc unless there will be a turbo somewhere, save it up and put it towards the ls vtec build you speak of.

Remove the valve cover. If it isnt filled up to the cam lobes then go to autozone, ask for some fluid and fill it up. Sohc heads hold 3.7 quarts.
