^ /agree

Koni's are great shocks, and the lower dollar teins are junk!

Swift springs are over rated, Eibach springs work great and are ~1/2 the price last I checked.

A koni/GC set up is the best set up you can buy for the money. If you don't want to adjust the dampening on your coilover you can get some bilstein struts and get them custom valved for the spring rates you want (only $65 extra a shock and bilstein does it in house).

If you want to buy some performance, out-of-the-box coilovers get some KWs....those are probably the cheapest coilovers you can get that are worth a shit.

True true. I've got a bad taste in my mouth for ordering Eibach springs from them direct after it took 2 months to get my springs for my GCs last time. I dunno what the turnaround time is from King for ordering Swifts but it can't be that long.

That being said, Eibach springs are great, and ~$130 a pair. Swifts run ~$180 a pair I believe.

i have D2's and have had no problem with them...good price and the ride is excellent...do you really need coilovers though? most of the time a good damper and spring set-up is just as good

If you want performance, springs are not the way to go. Most companies only offer BSA spring rates, if they even list the spring rates, and you're locked into a ride height.

I'd be willing to bet that most people who buy D2, Omni, K-Sports and cheap Teins don't even look at spring rates. I had 3 different spring rates on my last ITR while I owned it, and under different rates the car reacted differently, as it should.

You've got to do more research than just what other people say about them.

i looked at the spring rates before i bought them, but i'm leaving them as is b/c this is my first track season and i want to see how the car performs before i change them...D2 offers custom spring rates and you can get them revalved to match...

but i must say i knew none of this before i did some research...didn't even know anything about spring rates, revalving or anything up until August of last year after a couple months of research, the D2's cost and performance fit my budget, and it also helped that their distribution warehouse is about 10 miles fom me...

OP search H-T for their shock dyno, i think it's still there...there's a lot of info out there and it's best to do a lot of research before making your final decision

I can tell you while TEIN makes nice products, they are horribly over priced for what is offered.

I personally like either D2 or PIC suspension products but I enjoy a MUCH firmer (read harsh) ride than most people as well both products allow for custom rates and that for me is perfect.

I have Stance GR+ coilovers on my 240.
Way too bouncy, and they aren't even near the lowest they can go. I definitely need to adjust them.
