IM having trouble replacing my rear brake pads on my 1998 integra gsr. I've taken the 2 12mm bolts on the backside of the caliper and there still seems to be alot more than that to take the caliper off... Any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

 

that should be it and you need a special tool or at least a screwdriver or piece of steel(like a ruler)to turn in the pistons on the rear...once they are off it will look like a plus sign...they dont push in they turn in

im 99% sure that goes for all hondas

 

stick a screwdriver between the ears and GENTLY pry up on the caliper...its most likely has a ridge on the rotor thats holding it on

 

hit that bitch with a rubber mallot, its only the 2 bolts

are there any tricks anyone knows to rotating the piston? that thing is hard as sh!t to turn. i've only been able to get about a 1/4 of a turn out of it in "beast mode" ha??

 

Try releasing some of the pressure by opening the bleeder valve, but other then that try harder.

 

so you cannot use like a c-clamp to press it in? it can only be spun in clockwise?

 

yes you are correct, they can only be spun

i normally use a big chisel with vise grips on them to spin it
