I was deployed when the rod shot through the aluminum of my block. But yes, I was a dumbass and over revved it too much, drove it too hard. Sometimes when you are inexperienced you have to learn the hard way.

 

How did the rod shoot out of the block if were deployed??

My father-in-law was driving it to NH when he moved my family up there. I know he was not doing anything crazy with it because my wife and newborn child were following him, so either I abused it too much, or it was a factory issue that they wouldn't cover due to most of us RSX's racing our cars.
