Saturday i was pulled over for altered exhaust. i had my cut out open (manual) i explained to the cop it was a cutout and i can close it but he gave me the ticket any ways. I know i shouldnt have been driving with it open. My question is, is there any way i can fight this and how. he said if i fix it and show up in court, he will get it dismissed. Ignorant and childish comments will be ignored. thanks

 

The cop answered your question. You should have told him your exhaust had a nasty leak that you were going to fix instead of telling him you had a cut out.

 

Take a picture of someone elses and bring that in and say it was fixed.

 

you can not bring in a camera but you can bring in pictures. if you know someone that works in a shop have them print you a job order saying that you had exhaust work done. it will get dismissed. but then you have to be careful after wards. or just pay the ticket and call it good.

Get an electric cutout.... close it up and simply reply, "Sorry Mr. Officer I'm not sure what that loud thing was... surely it wasn't me or my car."

 

Or you could actually fix it.


Honestly I would have just payed the ticket.

 

Your lucky the cop didn't bust your ass for telling him you have a cutout. IMO that would piss them off more than your exhaust being loud.
