Who is everyone going to vote for? Obama or McCain?
Obama is the only candidate who is interested in the future, not just the next 4 years, but the next 10, 25, etc...
Obama knows we need to move forward to be more energy independant, and to keep the lead in developing new technologies in this country. Also, he knows that education must be a priority to give the best and brightest a chance (regardless of financial status), so that this country continues to grow stronger, not just have a weathly few leech off the country and sell it out until it is bankrupt.
Republican's biggest gripe is that Obama wants to "spread the wealth around". They think it means that he wants to give people money for being lazy. Because thats what Democrats do, right? Well, look at what Clinton did, he actually reduced the benefits going to those who were sucking off the system. Obama is clearly more intelligent than John McCain, and knows what it's like to go from nothing, I think he knows that giving free money away is not going to help someone help themselves.
Besides, I rarely hear any good arguments from the Republican side. Its never "McCain will do this, McCain will do that". Its "Obama is a terrorist", "Obama is a muslim". Do you even realize how insulting that is to equate muslim with evil. How do you think the hardworking Muslims in this country feel when Obama is incorrectly called a muslim, and Muslim is used inheirently as a negative connotation.
Give me a break people. If you are going to vote McCain, fine, but you better have a better reason than "Obamas a socialist".

Obama brings more people together! Diversity is the theme....... I attended a McCain Rally for a class project and it was scarrrrrrrrrrry.
People looked at me thinking what is nucca doing here.

You fail to realize that you're giving into McCain's bullshit too.
Every candidate will fill everyones head with empty promises just to get the votes. The reason I'm voting Obama is it scares the fuck out of me knowing Palin can potentially be President.

well its gonan be biden or palin. do you really like either lol
This is true. But I'd much prefer to have someone in office that's views on foreign policy (or any political views for that matter) don't start with: "Well... I'm from Alaska, and up there we...".
Come on, I know your smarter than this dude
You can't possibly sit back and say that the majority of his votes are because he is black. He couldn't be in the lead right now based on that alone. What about the people voting for him because they hate Bush (a lot of people see Mcain and Bush as one in the same)? Aren't there people voting for him because of his views? Wasn't Clinton white? Didn't the black community love him and support him? Now I don't deny that there are some ignorant people out there who will vote on the basis of race in this election but to sit back and think that there aren't people voting for Mcain because he's not black would just be nieve. There are bad apples on both ends and neither is more right than the other but you can't focus on the ignorant. Unfortunately, it's impossible in this day and age to avoid racial bias for some people but certainly not all. It's too easy to say that's where all his votes are coming from.

I don't believe in abortion being used as a method of birth control like some people do, but I think it's wrong to tell a woman what to do with her body and to tell her whether or not she's ready to handle bringing another life into the world. I can't say that I'm a big supporter of the idea of abortion, but that's not my decision to face. There are definitely circumstances where it might be necessary! Hell, some people should be sterilized to begin with--right?
I'm not for the war, but the fact that we're over there and that we are at war, regardless of the circumstances, means I'm going to support it 100%. I will always support my president even if it's not the candidate I voted for. He/she represents our country. As someone else mentioned, TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL! We could be a much stronger country if there weren't so many reasons for us to keep separation from eachother. Race, religion, sex, sexual preference, etc... All of these stupid things keep us from being united, and I'm just as guilty of it as the next person.
I'm very much interested in the right to defend myself. Republicans tend to, in my opinion, be more lax about gun laws. I think there are things that could use tweaking and I wish there was a sure way to be in control as a govenment, but there obviously isn't one true way to keep guns out of the hands of the wrong people. If we had tighter laws, someone that would already unlawfully own a weapon would still find a way to get one. Am I right? You'll still have felons buying a handgun or assault rifle out of the back of a car in an alley somewhere. Why? Because the law is make believe. It's just as made up as the speed limit is.
--to be continued--
I cant wait til Obama is president. Thank god some people have woken up to how fucked we are/ would be w/ McCain and Palin as president/vp.
Yeah we have some idiots voting for Obama just because hes black but we have plenty who vote "Country First" just because McCain/Palin are white/christian/military wannabe pretend middle class pieces of shit.
Comparing Biden to Palin is not even possible.
If you were to recheck that there is functioning brain matter in your head you MIGHT notice that Palin IS A JOKE.
She knows nothing about ANYTHING except being a right wing bible fucking/stoneage rich white piece of shit who has no right to be even speaking in this election. She is a discrace to Americans everywhere.
