get used to slightly leaning to the right when you're coming to a stop, and learn to find nuetral real fast, before you stop. makes things easier. took me a while to get the hang of it 100% too. lil practice and you'll be good to go.

btw, is your start switch seriously in the end of your bars or was i looking at that wrong? just curious.

headlight isn't even wired up yet. I think i'll put a toggle switch on it to flip to bright but low will be on all the time.

skrooz, the left grip end is the on/off and the right grip end is the starter engage. You can't see them, but you just depress them and they work...until this thing shakes them to a million peices. Fucking thing vibrates so much. Every bolt has to have loctite on it or else they'll just rattle loose.

i know the feeling, i'm constantly tightening bolts on mine. i have a feeling you'll be replacing those switches often unless you packed them in some sort of silicoln or something to help with the vibes. mine goes thru ignition switches about once every 2 months. i keep a spare in my bag, lol.

damn thing sounds good though! i still wanna see a closeup on your foot clutch setup. curious how you made the clutch actuator work from outside the left case cover. you just make a lil linkage arm for the actuator?

this is the only pic i have on it. i welded a 1/2" x 2" tube to the clutch adjusting lock nut. then drill a hole in that chrome plastic cover and attached a shifter arm from a katana on there.
i had to really tighten the tube/lock nut down tightly to keep it from backing off as i pressed the clutch.

that's a kick ass idea man. i had thought about doing something similar, but it wasn't gonna work with my forward controls. easier to just make a custom cable. i may have to try something like that on the one i'm building now since it has mid controls.

might want to look into some green loctite for that nut. once it sets, it ain't gonna come off unless you reeeealy want it to. i had to use it on the starter clutch on my 7/12 gsxr, b/c the monster motor in it would spin the locking bolt right the hell out when i'd start it. you could also try drilling the shft and nut sideways and pinning it. might be easier to get off and/or adjust if you ever have to than using green loctite.

in any case... that's the first time i've ever seen anyone try that kinda setup. pretty freakin cool man.
