Any SATA or IDE hard drives that're 300GB or larger? I could use some more RAM too...

I doubt they have anything 300gb or larger if he's talking old hardware... A lot of older servers don't have anything bigger than about 50gb. Wouldn't mind setting up a raid array though.

With old slow ass drives? You aren't going to get anything SATA, much less SCSI or SAS. The best you're gonig to get is some 6gb 5400rpm IDE drives... get 4 those, and you get what, 18gb in RAID5? It's going to be dead slow and pointles even if you're using a controller and not OS controlled...

The best you're going to get out of this shit for RAID is a floppy drive so that you can load the RAID controller drivers.

Don't waste your time.

Ok this shop didn’t do Home User.....

It did Fiber Optics and Large Telecomm
It Specialized in Legacy Servers for large business (IBM,HP,Dell)

Yes we have SCSI.....The whole pile is in my basement waiting to get wiped per the customers....

Most of the servers are stripped of hard drives...Alot of companies paid the shop to have them destroyed.....They were all labeled with numbers...Tagged....Bagged...Sent through the nice truck with big ass shredder blades and came out the back in little bits.....The shop had to box these bits up send them back with an Certificate of Destruction

What they have Left…

Cable Management
Rails
Misc Cables
Apple Crap (pre Imac)
Keyboards
Mice
Junk
More Junk
3 Stripped down Older p2 Servers
Documents for Alpha Server
