Well they have the distinct possibilty of being brought up on charges as accessories to the thefts. Which may be what prompted the OP to try and clear his name.

If one of my best friends is doing something stupid, I try my best to talk them out of it, constantly. It usually works. If not, its there decision.
But I DAMN sure wouldn't call the cops on one of my life long friends, you guys must be some straight bitches, if thats how you are.

If one of my friends was stealing cars. You are damn fucking right I am going to rat there ass out. I would give them the option of quitting or me making them quit. They don't stop, I rat their ass out... to their benefit of not fucking up anymore. But that is my opinion.
Start taking matters into your own hands. And stop pointing fingers at someone who could resolve the issue but doesn't seem to. They seem to go to bells road.... guess where you need to go to get this resolved.

I would piss all over my supposed friend, if I fucked up in one way or another....and he called the cops on me... Even if one of my friends was a thief and was running away from the law, I would hide him and protect him, the best I could. Because he is my friend!
