the only other korean restaurant in richmond is 88 garden on 6135 Midlothian Turnpike. the interior was recently remodeled and it's pretty swanky. food is pretty good, too.

my parents eat at both locations rather often (they work late and mom is too lazy to make dinner) and are friends with the owners. my dad and his buddies often go there to talk business, eat and drink, and whatever else after playing a round of golf. korean old boys, i guess.
I <3 88 garden

i'm actually not a fan of those pancakes (bu-chim, pajun, etc). just stick a plate of rice, grilled pork, and kimchee in front of me. it's the fucking business.

Su Casa - great little Mexican place at Broad and Westwood, really nice people there, cheap date.

Buz and Ned's - Pretty much the barbecue place in Richmond, food is really good.

Mekong and/or Vietnam Garden - Two great Vietnamese places, Mekong is a little nicer, both good date locations.

Hot Tamale Cafe - Fribble Way/Hull Street (~13000 block) - Great Mexican on the Cheap - Macho Tacos FTW

Haru/Mai Sushi - Patterson/Three Chopt - Great sushi for a great price - $30 to feed three people

+1 on Double T's

Desserterie - Harbor Side Center Loop / Hull Street - Great dessert place for shakes, cakes, pies, gelatto, cookies, etc. Also offer alcoholic and non-alcoholic "night-caps"

Emilio's Restaurant - Hull Street/Woodlake - Wonderful Spanish food with excellent wine pairings. Smoke-free restaurant. Live music and a great atmosphere. Fairly small.

Gino's Pizza - Woodlake - Great hole-in-the-wall pizza and italian sandwiches place.

There are lots more that I love, but these take the tops.

The brother of the owner of Mekong has opened a little place called Da'Lat in the Tuckernuck shopping center, it is also a very good. It's also smaller and cozier.

Buz and Ned's ROCK!

Pescados - seafood. Midlothian at Old Buckingham Rd (same shopping center as Kabutos).

Crab Louie's - seafood. Sycamore Sq in Midlothian

Capital Ale House - Downtown, Innsbrook, Midlothian. I've never had an entree here, but the burgers and sandwiches are excellent...not to mention the selection of beer. I try a new beer every time I go.

Pietros Pizza - Italian. Jeff Davis and Osborne Rd. Quick lunch under $10.
