Where to buy a helmet?
True wouldn't know would you, seeing as you never hit me up to go ride before I left. Booooo!
I'm actually looking at getting a group buy for 6 or 7 HAWK helmets if you're interested. I found these flat black ones with skulls (sounds corny but looks cool) for pretty cheap, so if you're interested I could see if thats an option for ya?
what the hell are hawk helmets?
Here is an example of one of the helmets I'm talking about. Like I said I think the flat black is pretty cool. And its DOT approved so you know its not garbage.

That is cheap, and not a bad looking helmet. Let me know if you find out if it is any good, I read you should get snell approved. I looked at that site that jesus posted but didnt find hawk up there so that might be a bad sign.
My HJC isn't SNELL approved and according to that helmet safety site its ranked above the Arai RX7 helmet. To be perfectly honest I doubt there is really much difference in the quality of these helmets... I know I'm probably going to get crucified for saying that, but in all honesty a helmet is a very simple thing with only so many materials, shapes and molds that can be used. I mean, I may be WAY off on this, but that helmet safety site is a perfect example of what I'm talking about. My HJC new is 250 pounds and rated at 5 stars, the Arai RX7 is 500 pounds and rated at 3 stars... I honestly think the majority of what you pay for on a helmet is design and name. GRANTED with a no name helmet you take a larger chance, but thats what the DOT rating is for right?
