Do you do wierd things to save gas??
I'm starting to coast to stop lights instead of downshifting.
I shift at 2k
I skip 3rd and 5th gear
I use cruise control even when I'm doing 45mph

not true, at idle, average car uses a half a mile worth of gas per minute. FI cars these days use very little start up fuel, that part is a myth. They said it back when cars were carbureted.
I inject a total of 1.4ms of fuel to crank at +160*. I idle at .7ms of fuel.
once I idle more than 6 seconds, I've used more gas.
as far as coasting to a stop, if you stay in gear and pull vacuum, you tend to not inject ANY fuel at all. For example, in any condition above 1800RPM and less than 23kPa of atomsphere I cut fuel.
Also cruise at 16:1 AFR.

Or any where in the 757, for that matter...

$20 worth of gas that lasts 4.5 days > $75 worth of gas lasting 4.5 days.
