A good insurance policy will pay for shit you lost in the theft. I've had a laptop get jacked and insurance paid out for it, but it had sensitive material that to this day I dont know if my countermeasures worked or not(was setup to wipe itself as soon as it was powered on with a viable wifi signal in range, as well as take a pic from the integrated webcam and upload it.), hopefully it just looked like a bunch of garbage to them and they tossed it.

 

I did. And there's no mention of what kind of car he has.

 

How long before the police "actually" start looking for the car once lojack has been activated?

Oh, and best believe that your yellow civic wasn't the first car stolen from that apartment complex. There was a GSR stolen from there a few months ago. The post is in here.
Only thing found was the rear end in a dumpster and thats it.

As soon as the stolen car gets entered into NCIC/VCIN, the LOJAC is activated. (Make sure you tell them you have LoJAc when you make your report.) A page is sent out to detectives immediatly.
