I'm in love.

Fact is I like it ALOT, to those who don't that's cool that's your opinion. Hope to get to meet alot of you guys and learn some things, even those dont dig it
Congrats on your first bike. I agree with everyone else that says not to pay attention to those who talk trash about your bike. Most of those guys still live with their parents and struggle to pay monthly payments on a new bike that they supposedly "lightly dropped in the garage".
Gotta love those squids!
Anyhow, check out http://www.maximum-suzuki.com/forums/index.php . They have tons of info on Katanas, Bandits, and DRs.

(Ok, I can go naked, but people point and laugh!)
Just remember...naked is good!
Hey! Check out www.kat-riders.com . Thats the best website for katanas. Lots of local people here as well. I have a katana, and it is plenty fast for me. My first bike with 40HP was faster than almost every normal car on the road. People who want to enjoy motorcycling for a long time learn the proper techniques before jumping on a raging bull. People who want to look cool, because bikers are cool jump on new 600s. Take some time and learn this incredible hobby. My katana 750 is PLENTY fast for me, and I have been riding 2 years now. Yes, I would love a new bike, but for now, I am good with it. I sold my new one and bought a jet ski and a older bike. My bike is broke now, but my jet ski takes up enough of my time for my hobby.

Ive unfortunately also noticed the blatant disregard people have for people on bikes, damn! haha
I checked out maxima suzuki mysteryguest, nice site! Everything Ive seen so far was very broad so I liked that it was cut down to specificness.
Naked bikes are a lot of fun, I think. I like what several folks have done to their sportbikes. I was hesitant to do that to my beloved gsxr, so I opted to get a honda 599 instead.
Congrats on your "new to you", ride. Have fun, ride safe and hopefully we'll meet up sometime.
OUT!

i have a friend in FL that has a 80s tuna with 05 gsxr body work.. looks kool.
u can swap a gs1100 motor or a bandit motor in that bike.. but really the bike isnt wroth all that much. like he said hes just using it to learn on. leave the bike the way it is for the most part. maybe change little things. i would just ride it untill u feel u can move up.
as for the comment on the carbs. he probly cant tell the differents, iv ran pods on all my bikes in the pasted and never had a problem.
