So everyone that doesn't get 60mpg isn't practical? Please. Consider me a arab pocket filler than. Because I'm pretty much in the same boat as tie fitr. I only get 25mpg though so I guess I'm worse.

eww a Hybrid.

My car gets about 28mpg on normal day to day driving, and gets up to 34-35mpg when I drive down to visit my rents in SC. I'd say thats pretty damn good.....plus I still have passing power on the highway.

Hybrids......lolz.

There is nothing cool, sporty looking or remotley fun about that car at all.

I'll stick to getting 21 mpg

I doubt you make as much money as you think.
If you did you wouldn't be driving that.

And it's apparent that you have no idea what you're talking about.....but that's ok.

See, we (and I include the Viper and Z06 guys in that) have what's called "6th gear." It's an amazing invention that allows the engine to turn at lower RPMs while at a crusing speed....say around 1700 rpms at 80mph, which in turn provides greater gas mileage then an engine turning at say 2800 rpms at 80.

I've also taken my car on some long ass trips and my mileage on the trips has usually been around 24-25 mpg with the exception of the couple of times I've been stuck in DC/NY traffic and even then I was still getting over 20

But that doesn't fit in with his arguement so it's a moot point

You say you probably make more $ then others in this thread, but you can't afford to live closer than 60 miles from your work, and you can't afford to drive a non homosexual car to and from work?

This whole thread seems like it was started so you could feel better about your horrible situation.
It's hard to feel good about being gay.

PS - I hate you for having a Viper trans with the better 6th gear

Actually, I use the 500whp pretty much daily...usually it's to get around some tard in a hybrid who can't merge at speed onto 64/264 because they can't get to 60mph before the end of the ramp

+1 With my superfly Viper tranny, 28" tires, and 4.10 gears, I don't hit 2k rpms in 6th til 85 mph in my "bullshit" 608 rwhp car. I'll take 28 mpg highway and 20 mpg mixed beating on it all day long for the enjoyment of getting to drive it for 35 minutes each way on the commute. Apparently the smugness is automatically obtained with the purchase of a Hybrid.

I can show you tank after tank of 32 mpg in my neon, but I don't need to because I don't care if you believe it or not. I'll keep getting 32 mpg either way . As far as the no neon gets 64 mpg, read my post again, I said 64 EFFECTIVE mpg which means I pay for gas every other fillup. I didn't think that was too hard of a concept to understand. Maybe I was wrong. Of course a neon doesn't get 64 mpg. I never said car pooling was for everyone but if you can do it, it is a damn good way to save money.

You realize that's bullshit right? Gas prices are not what is crushing the US economy, not even in the Top 5 reasons. And the economy is continuing to post growth as well as the market being at record high levels so please explain how the economy is being crushed exactly.

Along with the inability to merge onto the highway at any decent rate of speed
