Just pointing out that rising gas prices wouldn't be a major issue if many americans didn't have an obsession with large gas guzzling vehicles. How many times do you see a suburban or expedition on the road with one person in it? How many people buy these vehicles out of need, not want. Even at $4/gallon, we pay alot less than people in europe.
Gas prices are currently high and that is a result of several factors, the main reason being a dollar.
Commie..........hardly.

An inelastic good or service is one in which changes in price witness only modest changes in the quantity demanded or supplied, if any at all. These goods tend to be things that are more of a necessity to the consumer in his or her daily life.
Oil demand currently exceeds output and will more so in the future, especially considering the rapid rate of economic growth of the world's two largest countries, India and China. Oil supplies are limited and will most likely run out in our lifetime. Economics also says that excess demand will lead to increase in prices. Think gas prices are bad now, just wait until the oil wells run dry.
I'm not calling out anyone in particular, its just a general statement about society. How many times do you see someone on the nightly news whining about gas prices and then driving away in their expedition?

Uh no. I have a 600 hp car that gets 28mpg on the highway and 18-20 on normal beating on it driving. If you think your insight is "fun" to drive, then your definition is a little different than mine. You say you probably make more $ then others in this thread, but you can't afford to live closer than 60 miles from your work, and you can't afford to drive a non homosexual car to and from work?
