the secret to getting 70 mpg!
It's a 2005. Has over 115k miles on it already. Increased the rated MPG already quite a bit with some hypermiler mods and aftermarket equipment. My fuel bill is about $450/mo but I get diesel for about $3.80/gal and with my 5% discount comes out to about $3.61/gal.
Plus, I can tow houses and your roof comes up to my wheel well with stock ride height. Nice in the summertime with convertibles and short skirts.

I don't work a set schedule and can be requested on-scene just about anywhere... so a "commute to work" is irrelevant.
americans its sad look at you gas is going up like fucken crazy and you morons still love to suck it up. We'll see mem day whose fucken laughing when that shits 4.00 a gal and you'll be sitting your ass at home.
i'm sure if you had a 120 round trip commute to work, you would be leaning toward drivin sumthin else daily, hey if i was a millioare i'd be right there next to you in a gas guzzler but i just think its a lot more practical for "ME" to drive what i'm drivin daily.
Hey...I get 25mpg on the highway in a 500whp Cobra plus I have 400 times as many cool points as someone driving a hybrid.
Thank god I can afford $4 gas.....

You would need a 330 miles round trip commute to justify buying one just to commute in. My math might be alittle off. Checked ebay and auto trader for prices, figured 15k was a good number. 42 month financing, that will put you at about $400 a month, depending on your intrest rate. So you need to save $100 in gas every week, thats $20 a day. Most cars can get 28 mpg highway. I'lll give you extra credit and say you are doing slightly better than 2 times that. So for our given commute, you would put in 1 gallon while I put in 2. So to save $20, roughly 6 gallons, I would have to get 12 gallons, and you would have to get 6. 6gx60mpg=360 miles, 12gx28mpg=336. my rough math is close enough.
I have family in England that pay 7-8 bucks a gallon. They dont bitch. Neither will I. There's nothing you can do.
