if someone can't afford the top of the line model, then sure you can modify it to a certain point to make it cool and unique, but there comes a point where you the efficiency of your dollar spending falls off and he exceeded that $20k ago... now he has a car that ISNT a 911 turbo or GT3, can't perform like a turbo or gt3, and despite his investment it is worth very little more than a clean stock 911.. i guess i'm just too much of an elitist and too rationalizing to get it?

LOL... It's his... and he got it back around 2000 when it was still a new car... not some $20k like most of the people swooping them up today. I remember seeing it back at the Home Depot hang out in the summer of '02 when I was in college and had my Cobra.

Pretty much... way to promote your business. I'd never let anyone touch my car that can't speak and act like a professional.

This thread further proves:

money ≠ taste

EDIT: and just to clarify, I think the TVs in the head rests are stupid, I hate the head light covers, don't really care for the front end and I actually like the wheels. For 31k though, it sucks.
Murphyd311, Since your running your mouth about the 996 so much the "OWNER" wanted me to show you this, your opinion is about a grain of salt. He decided to go and enter the 996 in a reputable car show "THE 2008 9th ANNUAL BRITISH CAR CLUB CAR SHOW" held at the Williamsburg Winery sponsored by AG Edwards, make a long story short 2nd Place out of over 100 vehicles entering (RPM, we'll take that). Seems the judges at at the show value your opinion the same as ours. We'll just brush you off our shoulder like a piece of lint. This will concrete the level of skill at RPM

P.S. The owner also wanted RPM to tell you the 1st place trophy went respectfully to an absolute cherry totally restored 1976 912E, also his 996 competed with a 2008 997 twin turbo who didn't place at all. Stay tuned for the next post with the RPM 1ST PLACE TROPHY
