It is corroding chrome. There is not much you can do to fix that. The only way to get ALL the wheel permanently fixed is to strip the entire wheel and re-chrome it. The rim chrome did not just peal off because it felt like it. It was corroding underneath. It was not leaking between the tire and the chrome, but between the chrome and the rim. As in all corrosion, you can only slow it down, but once it starts, you can not stop it. They did what was to be down. They fixed the leak. If you wanted to do it yourself, you could have researched on the internet about how to do it yourself.
A brake job normally cost $100+, but you can do it yourself in 15 mins. Most people still take it to the shop to get it done. How much does a 'tune up' cost? They just change your spark plugs and air filter and 'check fluids' and charge a arm and a leg. You asked about straighting rims. You can not do that yourself normally. You wanted to get it fixed ASAP. Normally, DIY takes a lil more time than that, and people who want it fixed ASAP just take it to the shop. Its a reasonable price for what you got done.

I didnt buy chrome for my next set of rims, because I knew the issues I had before with corroding chrome.

I would have looked at the places website first.

I quit counting typos at 15. A place that can't even spell will not be working on my car.
