Go with something that you can shoot properly and butt against your shoulder. Maybe a regular rifle or shotgun. And, any gauge gun will stop anyone (unless they have armor on, or there is just too many of them) as long as you buy the right bullets/ammo and get your aim on point. Hope this helps, excuse the sarcasm.

Something like this (an autoloader though) is what I'm talking about, I know what kind of grip you're referring to and no, that's not what I would want. Thanks for the input ya prick.

My wife is barely 5 foot and she can handle the recoil of 12 gauge slugs pretty well. For home defense it's loaded with Federal Power Shok low recoil 00 buckshot.

If it's just for home defense just buy a Maverick 88/ Mossberg 500 and install a adustable stock+pistol grip. You won't break the bank and you'll have a shotty goes boom everytime you pull the trigger.

Throw in a couple more bones and pick up a Knoxx Industries Spec Ops stock.

The winchester ranger law enforcement I mentioned earlier is low recoil as well, forget to mention that.

even the difference between a month or two at the same location gave a price increase.
40 cal, 500 rds - 112.00 (norfolk gun show in feb?)
40 cal, 500 rds - 120.00 (norfolk gun show on april 6)

I will give them credit, probably the best ammo I've bought for that cheap though.

A flat top Smith & Wesson M&P15 sells for ~$950. I have $400 into the optic, $120 into the optic mounting bracket, $200 into the quad rail, $60 into the lithium flashflight, and $50 into the forward grip.

So, I have about $1,800 into mine.
