Which car to get?
i think its safe to say a fbody/vette/cobra fit what needs he did specify.
its not like a suggested a chevy tahoe
lol @ spyder eclipse.
A c5 z06 is probably the best bang for the buck that's only 7-8 years old and around 20k. Most likely it will have high miles though. Id get a fair mileaged c5 frc instead.

Need more details! New or used? Coupe? Convertable? Wagon? How many seats? Gas mileage? awd, rwd, fwd?
I'm surprised no one said Miata yet... they're cheaper to insure (and maintain) than a V8, better mileage too. The only thing they're not great for is highway speeds and bumps for extended periods. tight suspension + short wheelbase = unhappy butt.
I saw a 2000-something Mazdaspeed for sale listed @ 10k recently (DIBS).
You might be happy with that. OR you could get it and drop your other 10K into it and DEFINITELY be happy with it
whatever you do... don't get the Eclipse. Unless you're an asshole, then I'd say you deserve that slush box.
