Who Has The Most Bad Assed Car In Central?
personally for a street car ill take something that hooks and has a zillion horse power over something moderately powered that can corner its ass off.
i know a stock suspension f-body wont handle as well as an exotic like a ferrari but to say it cant turn at all is flat out ignorant. i have just never seen the need to compare a car's handling when talking about street cars.
yes it would be more fun to drive, but this thread isnt about the most fun to drive its about the car with the biggest set of balls that is the most badass.
and i will say it again, a turbo 1000hp street driven 9 second firebird is exponentially more "badass" than a stock lamborghinni
it would definitely lose around a track, but thats not whats in discussion

I respect your opinion
I guess my opinion is at the end of the day its just a GM product
and the Lambo...well its fucking Lamborghini
The necessities to excel in one aspect detract from the ability to excel at another. You can't have your cake and eat it no matter how badly you may want to. If you want to handle well, you're going to sacrifice straight line acceleration and vice versa. It's an inherent give and take situation. Some may lust for the extreme of one aspect, others for the extreme in another, and others for a well-balanced blend of characteristics. To each his own, I say. That's why there are hundreds of models of vehicles. Every one meets a niche that another may not be intended to cater to. If we all had the same taste, life would be pretty boring. We've all been at this argument for at least 3 years now, maybe longer. I lost track a while back. I say its time we all agree to disagree, respect one another for the differences that make this hobby so diverse, and leave the chest thumping competitions for the closed-minded to settle amongst themselves. So the long of the short of it (or is that the short of the long of it?), is that there are many extremely nice rides in this area that are built with all sorts of purposes in mind. In the end, they've all got a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and money invested into them and should be appreciated for what they are, not scrutinized for what they aren't.
nope, not butt hurt at all. I like alot of cars but I appreciate what someone owns when they have done it themselves. You can have the cookie, you're older than me and go through a car a year, good for you.
good thing people rarely modify high end exotics, especially past boltons
I have built many cars.
I just got old and realized with age that i was loosing my ass off building cars. So now I buy them...accessorize them and flip them and them make bank on them.
I like that better, so thats what I am gonna keep on doing

but its all in fun. I really respect most forms of the hobby. I go to many events that are not even related to what I particularly like.
I suppose I am close minded in the sense that I can not fathom how someone would prefer an economy sports car over a supercar
I agree with you

I don't think anyone here would take an f-body, mustang, bmw, corvette, or mercedes over a lamborghini, ferrari, or masserati any day of the week if given the choice. Then again, if you can afford one of the 2nd group, you could probably afford to build whatever you want out of the first group and have that sitting beside the other in the garage. Realistically speaking though, how many of us here will ever own an exotic? The allure of the economy sports car is that they're attainable by the masses. People can identify with them and they can identify with the hard work and imagination that goes into building them from stock. I think thats what makes them so coveted in relation to the more exclusive quarter million dollar supercars.
