Either way, most folks would never purchase a Ferrari that had a blemished title. At least they would not pay anything near the price that a mint Ferrari would normally pull.

Two words: Special Tools

You'd spend 10k in tools just to be able to do the work. At that point, you might as well just pay someone else to do it.

That thing looks pretty bad too me. If it only needed $35,000 worth of work, it wouldn't be a Salvaged car to begin with. $35,000 in damage to a $200,000+ car isn't enough to total it out. Now, if it was caused by a defective part in teh car, I can see Ferrari taking it back and replacing it. That's most likely what happened here. Look at the carpet and interior floor on teh passenger side, it's melted burnt too it looks like, if it got that hot the underside of the car can't be pretty either. When fire starts melting wires, all sorts of things start shorting out. There's no telling how big a mess the electrical system is. No Keys, Books or tools? That'll probably be $5,000 right there...

I'm gonna have to agree and say it's a parts car at best...

No, not guilty. I am up there frequently though, last time was for the DC Auto Show. I have friends in Herndon, Balston, Arlinton etc... So you may see me around. Mine has Yellow Fog Lights now, so you can tell me apart by that.

That's for the little F430 one. Go price one out for a 599 GTB. They're closer to $1300.
