maaco paint job?
i know there are a few of them in out area, anyone got a good review of any of them, i need to get a door painted for one of my cars, anyone know around what price range a basic coat and clear would cost
dude maaco does decent work...you get what you pay for....i had my old DA painted by maaco 4 years ago and that paint still looks brand new....hasnt chipped or peeled...people think if you dont spend a grand on a paint job it isnt good work....they color match the paint to almost perfect...if you want your car painted for cheap go there...like i said for 200 hundred bucks to have your whole car painted? if you ask me i dont know why more people dont go there...good luck
hahaha which ones did you all go to, ya i didnt wanna do it but the door i need painted is a different color then the actual car color, even though the thought of having a 2 tone car did cross my mind
Had a friend that got his camaro painted at the local Macco and there was orange peel everywhere. Took a long time for them to do the work and they would lie to us about their progress. After a over a week (it was supposed to take 3-4 days) we called up there b/c we hadn't heard anything from them yet and they said they were working on it now. We didnt buy that so we went up there and and they had it in the back of their lot, boxed in by numerous cars, with not a touch of work done.
Took them forever to do poor quality work. Might just be the local heads but in my experience, you get what you pay for...

they dont primer or do shit to the car. they throw paint over the existing service with little to no prep. i have never seen a decent maaco job that lasted more than a year or 2 with out peeling or chipping
so to those of you that say your paint job was perfect and has lasted...either thats the truth and you got EXTREMELY lucky with that particular shop or you dont have a clue what a real quality paint job looks like and you think if its all one color and its shiny and cleans up good, then its a quality job
and thats not the case at all
