Default help windshield wipers keep going with switch

i got a 1998 civic ex. and my wind shield wipers won't stop going. the switch is off but they still move. i need your guys help soon.

sounds like your switch has a short in it.


replace the switch

Its the bastard wiper motor... one of the contacts inside the motor is broken off and the motor doesn't know where it is and its trying to auto-park itself... constantly.

Super-quick - yank the fuse
quick - unplug the ICU. On the back of the fuse panel under the dash there's a black or white box... about 3"x5". There's a plug going into the back of it... remove the plug to gain manual control of the wipers. note: this will also kill the idiot buzzer that reminds you your headlights are on...
right - replace the wiper motor... it can be fixed with some soldering but at best will last a couple more months. get a new motor and plan on breaking some of the little plastic clips when getting to the motor...
