What exactly does that tensioner do

 

as the bike gets some miles those bikes are nown for the timing chain streches. a manual cam chain alows you to take up the slack the stock one sucks. but that is realy the only problems with those bikes. you would hear it alot of chattering.... still great bike

 

where is it located, the po could of changed it

 

if you are sitting on the bike on the right side of the motor under the carbs.
