Seriously an Rx-8 over an S2000 get out of here only one other car would I consider in this grouping is the 350z and that is cause they can be convertibles. You can not deny the fact dropping the top in the summer is Awesome. However that does effect your insurance that your also trying to keep cheap is the only down side.
So, let me revise my recommendation... If you need room get an RX-8, if room isn't an issue get an S2000. They are roughly the same price, same performance out of the box and same gas mileage, although the S2000 will cost more on insurance.
First, before you do anything, get insurance quotes on all thes vehicles. I gaurantee theyre probably higher than you think.
Second, youre not going to find a decent 350z for 15k. Its either salvage, or has something wrong with it. You prolly wont find an RX8 either.
With that being said the srt-4 should be the fastest and most responsive to mods, but it feels cheap.
My favorite would be the s2000. While not as fast or as responsive to mods, it just felt so much better sitting in one than the neon. But, then again you give up a few things, such as a backseat. Can you live with only carrying around one passenger all the time?
It's really all in your preference and what youre looking for. Go with what you want, but make sure you do your homework.

i dont understand why people HAVE to get a car newer than a certain year.
excellent condition doesnt have anything to do with age, and you could end up having something a lot better than all the ones on your list
