Default Question about offset

I just got a 93 240sx and the first thing I want to do to it is rims and tires. I either want some 15's or 16's i think. But I don't understand offset, so i was hoping someone could help me out. I want them to stick out to the fender and i like the stretched tire look. And I dont know how that is dont either. lol. New to the 240 thing, and I am loving this car already. The car is all stock btw.

Thanks

lets see... around zero offset is the look you want, but a 30-40 offset will look better on your stock 240

^^^ LOL

What suspension are you planning on using? Don't go smaller then 16s, 17s would be better. What wheels are you looking at? There are some good deals on Enkei RPF1s on Zilvia.net in any size, in low offsets (just pick the smallest number you can).

If you're looking more for cheap ass wheels then just get the sportmax 16X8 +0 or +15. Run a 205/45 or 195/50 on them. If you have a little more money you can get some Rota P45Rs in 17X9 and 18X9.5 in the lowest offsets possible, run a 215/45 up front and 235/40 in the rear. I think those only come in a +25 or +30 offset, the 17X9 needs to be around a +10 offset on a S13 (so if it is a +30 get 20mm spacers), and the 18X9.5 can be a +15 on a S13 so if it's +30 get 15mm spacers. You'll have to roll and pull the fenders a tad, and run some negative camber.

That type of fitment will look completely retarded on a car with stock suspension. Hit 240Trainee (not sure if that's spelled right) up on here and order some coilovers first.

I assume you're kidding, but if you aren't post pictures, I've seen 19X10.5 -5 but not 12s.
