96 ACCORD CODE multiple misfire
I have a 96 accord lx with a multiple misfire code in all cylinders and manufacturer control malfunction. what would be the cause and how would I be able to correct it? thanks
Was it a shop or Autozone that pulled the codes? Most likely a tune up related issue, but it could go deeper. How many miles on the car and what is it's maintenance history?
Distributor or coil packs? Bad or faulty ecu? those are my guesses other than like stated,a regular tune up.
i pulled the codes i have a scaner. history is good ive had the motor for about 4 years i put it in this shell about 1 1/2 ago it has new plugs, cap, rotor ,fuel filter .. all has been done the motor has 150k on it .. the car over 240k. is there a way to check the ecu?
New Wires? Any moisture in spark plug tubes? Did this happen after putting on new cap/rotor?
If those all check out, sounds like your igniter/module in the distributor may be going poop.

Under load is more of an indicator that it is in the tune. Check for bad plugs, wires, cap rotor. Visually inspect them. Also check for oil down in the spark plug valleys.
is it runnig rough? it could be bad gas or have you put in any fuel additive latley ive seen that throw misfire codes also a simple tune up could possibly fix it
