I also work for COX, 50% of the trouble is usually a short between the couch and the remote, the other 45% is shitty house wiring, ingress, and other controllable issues. 5% is actual plant BS.

FiOS has it advantages, althought this is the first thig verizon has done to compete...LOL. COX will be upgrading again soon.

ya but the price also plays a big part too. i get 15% discount w/ verizon anyway because of riverside.

 

I have cox, and the customer service is ckool but the speed SUCKS mainly due to me having some high speed cable crap AND being wireless but hey.... I'd switch to verizon, everyone i know that has it switched to them from cox and say its way better.

I typically get over 10megabit (top benchmark was around 11mbps) download and close to 2mb up in an APARTMENT COMPLEX with my cable connection. Since fios isn't available in the apt i'm stuck but have been pretty stoked with what they've offered.

In the current market, i'd still have to vote Fios. I'm interested to see what Cox will offer though.
