Rolling fenders is just as labor intensive as beating in your wheel wells (I had to do both to my car to fit my wheels...I'm going to have to hammer more out when I get the new ones on). Since you aren't running a 9wide on your car though you should run a spacer and roll the fender...it'll look better too.

EDIT: stage 1 beat in done. i've painted them to see if they rub still rub. it wasn't too bad. hopefully i won't have to go insane on the beating process.

hey i was wondering if i have a honda civic(96) w/ stock suspension would 17's fit without having to do anything to the wheel well area? would they rub ? im just curious cuz i want some 17's.
i'm tempted to maybe try a spacer....but i seriously only think my problems will be solved when i get less "beefy" tires. lol. i kinda thought i'd have a problem with the 195/55's. but i didn't know it would be like this.
