sounds like a knock to me, but the previous owner said it was an exhaust manifold thing. it has 185k, so i bet its a knock(really loud)

bump for ca18det in chesapeake. Don't buy ssautochrome junk the xs power intercooler setup is the bang for the buck but you have to hack at the battery tray and ether replace the battery with one from a miata or stuff one in the trunk. have a tuner shop fab up a engine back exhaust setup. It's way better then buying from ssautochrome and only they suppport our powertrain on exhaust parts in america. BALLS I order shit from canada and it's been over a month and still no parts fuck customs! Let me know if you have any questions I've been researching the ca for a year or so.
