Are 03/04 Cobras reliable? I've heard they are fine as long as you don't mod too much. If the car is kept relatively stock, is it reliable? How long do they last on average?

There are many 10 sec 03/04 cobras driving around with all the luxuries of a stock car.
Mine is a daily driver, not going to say fully modded because my engine still has not had its valve covers removed, but it has many bolt-ons pushing over 600rwhp. I go into boost every time I get into it so I can say its a very reliable 10 sec car.

edit: My daily driver duties are sometimes taken over by my gay vette since this bitch gets 30+ mpg

Considering people are running 800+whp on TT kits without removing the valve covers.

As long as you have a good tune you'll be fine

Or you could get a nice 04 Evo.

My vote is for you to lose your virginity and the only way that's ever gonna to happen is going to be from an E46 M3.

It's just like an S2k, they don't get much power out of mods. But they do respond well to forced induction.

And you'll be right on par with a stock M3. Supercharged S2Ks aren't really that fast unless you drop a boatload on money into them.

Drag racing 80% 20% driver, winner is the one with the bigger budget
Auto cross (low speed) 80% driver, 20% car, it takes more than a wallet to be competitive.
I think the same is true of larger quicker tracks. Ferraris run 12-13s in the 1/4, like s2000s that's not what they were made for.

I just remembered, the roads around your neighborhood were incredible, the twists and curves were unbelievable. FUN!! I'd like to see a mustang do what your S could on those streets.

lol, so what you're saying is, you have a slow car so you want to take out any aspect of accelleration because your car doesnt do that well?

Might as well get a Miata then, since it will destroy an s2000 on tight twisty courses all day long. I love S2000's as much as the next guy, but stop being a pretentious douchebag.

BTW, my 20 year old mustang with mismatched suspension beat an s2k at the last autocross.
