So what you're saying is that not only is p-town a sewer, but it's also dangerous and that makes it better than the safer, more prosperous cities in the 757.

Nope, thats what your saying. I thought ghettos were dangerous, you think its the ghetto not me, so I figure you would feel that way. I dont think its any more safe or dangerous than any of the cities in 757. I think all cities here are pretty comparable. I have owned houses in both and both were decent neighborhoods. Neither were far from shitty areas but both my houses in Norfolk were completly surronded by shitty neghborhoods and my House in Portsmouth is not.

1) Sucks that you couldn't afford a house in a nice neighborhood
2) Portsmouth is a shitty neighborhood.

Houses were all in nice areas, just so happened that both that I owned in Norfolk had ghetto a mile away. Not the case in shitty ptown...No Ghetto for miles.

Im pretty sure I could afford a house in your neighborhood, I just wouldnt want to live there.

i just moved to Norfolk a few weeks ago from northern Virginia. It seems like the whole 757 is pretty ghetto. I've seen a few ok neighborhoods but they quickly become ghetto after a few seconds of driving.

A couple weeks ago, i saw some black people in their 40s walking around in the middle of the day holding open cans of Hurricanes. 1- why dont they have jobs at noon on Wed, and 2- I dont think your alllowed to be drinking in public.

Just last week, i was sitting on the condo balcony stealing wireless internet from my neighbor when i see some black kid thats no more than 5 years old going "i aint 'fraid no po po" over and over again. Im assuming it some rap lyric. I thought it was funny and cute, but it was pretty sad on a serious note.

I also keep getting approached by drunk homeless black people when i walk at night (i learned not to walk at night unless its on campus).

Ok, so that is from NRHA. This is from PRHA

Dale Homes
Swanson Homes
Lincoln Park
Westbury

4 to 7

So Portsmouth has 61% of the land that Norfolk does and 46% of the people that Norfolk does, yet they have 57% of the public housing communities that Norfolk does..

Not to mention that your median home cost 84% what it does in Norfolk.

Find some real facts to use in your argument.

Break it down anyway you want. I said I thought there were more projects in Norfolk. You said that wasnt true. I was correct. Even going by your own facts it makes the two cities pretty close in figures (neither of us now the exact figures on projects). That means one really is not much better then the other. My whole point.

The neighborhood was closed off and the swat team had to clear my parents house. Kid gets shot at the park around the corner from there house. Another time a bunch of people were driving up and down the road pointing guns out the window. I can go on and on as far as College Park goes. The bottom line is both areas are high crime. Anyway, you go on with your bad ass "pasty white ass". Just stating what I have experienced and/or been involved with.
I remember the Texaco incident and also the Wachovia getting robbed. But the area isn't that bad. I've lived in College Park for 10+ years and I still live my life normally without feeling threatened. Hell, I went for a run last nite at around 11pm and didn't even see the first person outside. My only real complaint about this area is all the broken glass on the sidewalks. Can't even walk my dog without having to stay focused on the ground 10 ft. in front of us so he doesn't step on some.

You have already demonstrated your lack of knowledge for the city. If you want to argue about it at least take a look at more then the 5% of it that you have actually seen. You know part of portsmouth blvd and jullians anex. Your a real fuckin expert. If you want to debate something at least know what the hell your talkin about. I really dont know shit about NN so I dont comment on it. You should think about not commenting on shit you dont know.
