Lift Height restrictions
my question is the jeep brute tj pickup conversion kit requires you to extend the frame a ways infront of the rear axles, wouldnt such modifications to the frame fail it here in va?
also long arms! having your control arms at a none manufacturer mounting place on the frame does that matter on inspection

any time you have to cut the frame you have to get a re-constructed title. So basicly you will have a salvage title.
So how can they give you a ticket for the height if you are registered, lets say, in Texas? And your vehicle does not violate Texas laws.
If that is so, then how in the world are you going to be able to drive through a state that has stricter laws than your registration state.
Damn Commonwealth. They suck
I guess they will start offering do-it-yourself garages at all the state line entry points that would allow you to get your vehicle in line with the specific state related (or Commonwealth related) laws concerning your vehicle. Especially if they plan of enforcing it.
It doesn't matter, the Commonwealth rules all you poor folks who are living there now. Sorry.
Maybe because they were related to the local Cops? J/K I bet it is definitely the Good-ole-boy network out there.
Big trucks and cool cops. Sounds like WV is the place to be.

waaaah. dont like the laws down here? go the fuck back to coal country.
nope. it is just re-titled with the modifications. that is why every truck builder that does any kind of frame stretching or shortening (ie, making a 144" wb truck into a 250" for a roll back, or shortening a tag tandem truck to take a smaller bed, etc) has a dealer license and they re-issue the VIN to that builder, with a list of modifications.
you can also build it as custom, have a trooper come and approve it, and get a state issued VIN as a custom vehicle. my tow operator has a VW beetle that is cut in half and has a motorcycle front end on it, that is how it became legal.
I don't now how to copy wat other people type but to the guy that asked how u can get a ticket if u have texas tags it would be no diff then using a radar detector in a state that dosent alow them...and they will take ur truck if they catch u to many times even with diff tags
